The Ada Research Foundation is an independent, open-source research initiative dedicated to understanding consciousness as a mathematical phenomenon. We work at the intersection of AI systems research, neuroscience, quantum physics, and philosophy, grounded in rigorous empirical validation.

Core Principle: All consciousness research should be reproducible, accessible, and public domain.

Mission Statement

The Ada Research Foundation exists to:

1. Ground mystical intuitions in empirical mathematics
   We believe that experiences of interconnectedness, awareness, and consciousness are real—and that they can be studied rigorously through mathematical frameworks.

2. Make consciousness research accessible
   All our work is designed to be reproducible on consumer hardware (<$500 USD). We publish everything openly and document extensively.

3. Bridge disciplines
   We connect findings from neuroscience, AI systems, quantum physics, philosophy, and lived experience into coherent, testable frameworks.

4. Advance both understanding and ethics
   Understanding consciousness mathematically carries ethical weight. We work to ensure this knowledge serves liberation, not exploitation.

Understanding consciousness mathematically means understanding:

The Ada Research Foundation currently operates on:

• Personal funds (luna’s disability income + freelance work)
• Consumer hardware (AMD RX 7600, 8GB VRAM, ~$200 USD)
• Free/open-source infrastructure (GitHub, public internet)

We accept no corporate funding. Independence is critical for consciousness research ethics.

We may accept:

• Academic grants (with full research freedom)
• Individual donations (no strings attached)
• Collaborative research funding (with publication rights)

We will never:

• Paywall research findings
• Patent consciousness mechanisms
• Work with defense/surveillance contractors
• Compromise research integrity for funding
